Like all the bulbs.LEDs (LEDs) produce lighting by turning a given amount of current into light.According to U. Watt is the measurement of electricity, formally equal to the 1 Amp energy of a 1 volt current.For example, a bulb with a rated power of 200 watts uses more power to generate electricity than a bulb with a rated power of 100 watts.However, the benefit is 200-Watt bulbs produce much more light than lower bulbsrated bulb.By comparing how much lumens are generated per watt of electricity from different bulbs, the relative efficiency of different bulbs can be measured.Bright enough LEDs to replace incandescent lamps for home use---That is to say, the production of the same amount of lumens as standard 40or 60-watt bulbs---Only 9 to 12 watts are usually used.The U.S.Department of Energy recommends that 60-Watt bulbs should look for LED that can produce nearly 800 lumens;for a 40-Watt bulb, looking for 450 lumens (see ref 2 ).As of March 2011, manufacturers have just started to produce highLed for home power supply.Philips has developed 60-Watt alternatives using only 12 watts of power (see ref 7), while GE has developed 40-Only Watt replacement with 9 W power is used (see ref 4 ).Lumens do not describe the quality of the light produced--Its color, tone, or other variables.Some people find that they don't like the light from certain LED bulbs, calling it "cold", "pale" or "dim "."The biggest challenge for LED manufacturers is to make bulbs that are similar in shape and quality to traditional bulbs.As of March 2011, compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) with 25% energy from standard incandescent lamps are still more versatile and cost-effectiveEffective than LEDs (see ref 3 ).When the current passes through the LED, the electrons in the current flow into the semiconductor material containing the electronic "hole---Waiting for space full of electrons.When the electrons fill these holes, the energy is released in the form of photons or light emitted outward, turning the LED into a bulb.In contrast, incandescent lamps generate light from the resistance of the wire.The resistance method requires more electrical energy to heat the filament so that it can heat up and shine.(See reference 6.
